Located in the heart of Mont Rigaud, Sentiers de L'escapade form a 27 km recreational network. Walk along the educational route with its 25 interpretation panels installed along the trails. In summer, the trails are open for hiking and horseback riding, running and observing flora and fauna. In winter, the site is perfect for hiking, snowshoeing, biking with fatbikes and cross-country skiing. Nature interpretive hikes are offered for school or corporate groups. Pets are allowed on the mountain trails. From sunrise to sunset, access the site for free, all year round. Come and enjoy the outdoors in the countryside!

Piste cyclable Soulanges 5

Extending over 35 kilometres, the Soulanges bike path is known across the province for the quality of its routes and the diverse landscapes that surround it. Its entire length is paved and well-maintained, the multi-use path crosses wooded areas, fields, and wetlands from Pointe-des-Cascades to Rivière-Beaudette. Only a few kilometres from the island of Montreal, reachable by the Ontario Waterfront Trail, the Soulanges Bike Path is the perfect setting for a family day outside or for a serious ride. Don't forget to use the free parking located in the curve of Route 338 and in front of the church. For adventurous cyclists, try out the Soulanges Canal cycling route that borrows 22 of the 35 km Soulanges canal cycling path. Dogs are welcome on leashes. Bicycle and electric bike rentals are available at the rental kiosk located in Coteau-du-Lac.

Kayaks et SUP au canal de Soulanges 6

During the summer, it is now possible to experience the canal in a whole new way! Paddling! In downtown Coteau-du-Lac, directly on the Soulanges bicycle path, a rental container for non-motorized boats is installed. Perfect for cooling off on hot summer days! There are single, double kayaks and paddle boards. Consult canaldesoulanges.ca for current prices. At all time, children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent for rental. Please remember to bring sunscreen, a bottle of water, a snack and appropriate clothing. Ready to paddle?
