At the far eastern end of Pointe-des-Cascades, nature lovers will be enchanted by a conservation area with features found nowhere else in the region. Paths lead you through woods, old quarries, swamps, and ponds that are full of unique wildlife at all times of year. A favourite spot for picnics, the park is also well-loved for its collection of old locks, jetties, and lighthouses overlooking the confluence of the Ottawa and St-Lawrence Rivers. Boaters can take advantage of two boat launches, while others can simply enjoy the picnic tables by the shore. The park is also easily accessible from the Soulanges Canal bike path, so take this chance to discover one of the region's best-kept secrets!

Located on the shore of the Lac Saint-François, The Plage St-Zotique is always a popular place for family outings during beautiful summer days. Whether you want to go for a swim, a picnic or a game of volleyball, this is the perfect place! You can also go on an adventure on the lake by renting a pedal boat, canoe, kayak or paddle board. The little ones will surely enjoy the paddling pool and the playground. The site is also open in winter! Come and explore the beach trails by walk, on snowshoes, cross-country skis or on fatbike. Fatbikes can be rented on site. There are nearly 5 km of trails designed to make you discover the beach from a different perspective. In summer or winter, various activities are organized.

Ferme La Belle et ses bêtes 8

Head to Rivière Beaudette, where the owners of Ferme La Belle et ses bêtes will welcome you for a guided visit to discover the joys of the farm and its animals. You will be able to pet and feed alpacas, miniature donkeys and horses. You’ll also meet the farm’s ducks and chickens. On site, explore the boutique offering items made with alpaca wool, including hats, scarves, socks and mittens to keep you warm all winter long. The farm also has a variety of crops, like pumpkins and garlic. Farm visits are by reservation only on weekends, and you may even be able to help feed the animals! Everyone is welcome!
